Rotary Foundation


Steve was a life-long Rotarian and believer in Service Above Self. Rotary Foundation has led the way in the elimination of Polio, ensuring access to clean water, and helping others. Steve led many efforts across Rotary including being the President of the Rotary Club of Alexandria and Assistant Governor. He received numerous awards and distinctions for his service at the club and district levels.

Steve graduated from The University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture 1974 and has been a stalwart supporter of the School of Architecture since then. A regular attendee at the Dean’s Forum dinners and a mentor to many young architects. His advice to young architects: “Think about permanence, not just the latest trends. What will the building look like to your children's, children's children?”
